NOTE ABOUT VIR's
☆☆☆ Valves-In-Receivers were designed for use only with the old R12 refrigerant. While it can be used with the newer 134a refrigerant, it WILL NOT function as efficiently, particularly on hotter days. For the most efficient function, it is recommended to go with a VIR Eliminator/Update Kit, which converts the systemto a cyclding system used on most 1977 & newer model cars & trucks. |

VIR ELIMINATOR WHEN CONVERTING TO 134a THE VIR MUST BE ELIMINATED FOR SYSTEM TO FUCNTION EFFICIENTLY! 1973-76 General Motors - VIR Upgrade/Eliminator Kit Since VIR's cannot be calibrated for the newer 134a, this is the recommended route to take. This valve converts the the system over the new cycling-orifice system that GM went to in 1977 and has been using ever since.
