POA VALVE RECONDITIONING SERVICES

  • 134a CALIBRATE ONLY - Four-way test & calibrate from the old R12 to newer 134a. = $70 plus s/h sales tax. (***NOTE 1 & 2)

  • RECONDITIONING - Four-way test, flush, bead-blast & clear coat (or leave natural finish) and calibrate (R12 or 134a) = $125 plus s/h and sales tax. (*** NOTE 1 & 3)

*** NOTE 1 - Neither service is a rebuild of the POA valve.  The valve is not cut open & rebuilt.  Since there are too many ways for the valve to fail outside of the work we do, the service carries no warranty.  See our tech page for proper system preparation to insure proper system function.  If the valve does not pass all four tests, neither service can be performed and we there is a $25 cost for testing and returning the valve.  (US addresses only.)

*** NOTE 2 - Service consists of a four-way test of the valve and calibration to 134a if the valve is functional.

*** NOTE 3 - Service includes a four-way test of the valve.  Assuming the valve tests good in all four tests, it is then flushed with refrigerant oil, calibrated either for the old R12 or newer 134a, bead-blast & clear-coated.  (or we can leave natural finish as received.)

NEW POA VALVE ELIMINATOR - Replaces Type-1 & Type-2 15-51 POA Valve
 1966-73 General Motors - POA Valve Eliminator Kit
 Designed to replace the stock POA valve that constantly has the compressor running, converting the air-conditioning system to the cycling clutch system that GM switched to in 1977 and continues to use to this day. 
Simple to install and reliable to use by installing in place of the original POA valve and splicing the pressure switch wiring harness into the compressor power wire. 
It's different in appearance and the mounting strap will no longer be used.

Designed to look like the original Frigidaire POA valve, this billet version makes for a very clean original appearance and can use all of the original clamps.  Comes with BOTH R12 & 134a charging ports.
